Wright Business Graphics Acquires the Assets of Printing Today


Wright Business Graphics (WBG) announced that it has acquired substantially all of the assets of Printing Today headquartered in Portland, OR. The acquisition creates the west coast’s largest independent commercial printing and packaging company, serving the distributor community.

Dan Adkison, President/COO of Wright Business Graphics, said, “Today’s announcement is another positive step forward in the continued growth of our commercial printing division. Printing Today is a strong, regional commercial printing and packaging provider with a highly skilled and dedicated workforce. Wright Business Graphics (WBG) announced today that it has added a new Komori Lithrone G-Series press in its Kent, WA facility.

“We are excited to bring Komori’s most technologically advanced, eco-friendly sheet fed, commercial printing press to the Seattle market”, said Gordon Klepec, VP of Sales and Marketing. “The larger format press offers our distributors a rare, trade-only source for high quality commercial printing.”

Wright Business Graphics (WBG) announced that it has acquired substantially all of the assets of Sunset Press headquartered in Kent, WA.  The acquisition creates the west coast’s largest independent commercial printing company, serving the distributor community.

Wright Business Graphics Adds to Their Sales Team


David Holcombe comes to Wright Business Graphics as a seasoned sales professional with a wealth of knowledge of print production, sales development and customer-centric solutions that drive bottom line results.  “Dave has a collaborative style and the the heart of an educator, qualities that have helped position his clients for significant growth. With over 30 years experience in printing and pre-press for the trade, we are thrilled to have Dave join of our sales team” said Gordon Klepec, VP of Sales and Marketing for Wright Business Graphics.

Holcombe began his career in 1982 with Color Control [Shawk] and later worked in color separation and pre-press technologies for the trade with Scanner Graphics.  From 1995-2010 he held senior sales and marketing positions with both Rainer Color and Emerald City Graphics.  Most recently, Holcombe was a sales and service professional with McCallum Print Group.

Wright Imaging Names a New VP/GM


Wright Business Graphics announced the appointment of Debbie Aker as Vice President/General Manager of Wright Imaging, the company’s statement processing and transactional mail division located in Portland, OR.  Prior to this new assignment, Aker served as Director of Customer Service, a role that encompassed all customer service personnel in Wright Business Graphics’ five locations.

“I have had the pleasure of working with Debbie for more than a decade. I have seen her adapt and excel in a variety of roles. She is a disciplined, highly creative and seasoned business professional with an outstanding track record of streamlining and enhancing client facing activities and processes. These qualities will be put to test daily in this fast paced, technology driven segment of our business” said Dan Adkison, Wright Business Graphics’ President & COO. “Debbie has built one of the best trained and professional customer service teams in the industry. I am confident she will bring to this new assignment the same commitment to excellence.”

Aker began her career in the print industry with Wright Business Graphics in 1980. From 1988 to 1990 she worked in her family’s print manufacturing facility in Texas. After relocating back to Portland, Aker worked as Customer Service Manager for a large regional distributor that was subsequently acquired by WorkflowOne. She rejoined the Wright Business Graphics team in 2009.

Notification from Wright Imaging of USPS Postage Rate Increase Effective January 26, 2014


The USPS is increasing postage rates effective January 26th, 2014. As a business mailer, this will affect the First-Class and Standard Mail we do for you and your customers. Please see the chart below which outlines the new First Class rates.

As you know, we are transitioning all of our customers to a fixed postage rate. For those that have made this transition, you can anticipate approximately a 6% increase to your current fixed postage rate. Please contact your Customer Service Representative with any additional questions.

Wright Imaging Notifies Customers of the USPS Rate Increase Effective January, 2012


One of the valued services that we provide is keeping you updated on current industry news and trends.  Recently the USPS announced that an increase of 2% on most postal services will go into effect January 22, 2012.   As a business mailer, this will impact First-Class and Standard mail.  However, there is some good news!  With this change, one and two ounce mail will be metered at the one ounce rate, essentially making the second ounce free!  This will give you expanded opportunities to advertise new services, products and other communications without additional postage expense.

Wright Business Graphics Increases its Digital Printing Capability with New HP Indigo 7600


Wright Business Graphics announced today that it has added an HP Indigo 7600, 7-color, digital press to its line-up.

Wright Business Graphics Achieves SSAE Type II Certification


Wright Imaging announced today that it has achieved the SSAE 16 Type II certification, one of the most stringent auditing standards for service companies.  The SSAE 16 Type II certification designates that Wright Imaging delivers fully secure, reliable and effective operating environments with the proper controls in place to conduct data processing and printing with highly secure data.  The SSAE 16 Type II audit was performed through meticulous reviews and tests of Wright Imaging’s operational procedures and controls by leading independent auditor, Audit One, Inc.
